Does anyone have a simple written policy regarding staff giving advice to clients.
Policy needs to cover advice by letter, email, in meetings by telephone etc and what grades of staff can give the advice?

Policy on advice to clients
Apart from day to day work on accounting, tax, payroll, VAT and management reporting etc. a large part of the reason clients use our services is for the advice that we give them. It is therefore essential to our business that the advice we give is correct and appropriate.
I am looking for a policy document sets out the procedures that all accounting and support staff must follow when giving advice. I know ICEAW are quite keen on these and have been pointing put to practices that they ought to have a policy in place.0
