Good if you could team up with an existing accountant.

I wonder how many small accountancy firms are looking to expand? As it must make small firms more profitable?

If you do subcontract for another accountant, you might be covered by their PII and money laundering supervision, which would save you a good couple of hundred quid on setup costs.

I'm in the same boat, best to talk to the AAT direct.

Just be a bit careful with your employment contract. Do you need any permission to be able to carry out spare time work? Good luck

I have spoken to several firms of accountants as I am in a similar position and they have confirmed that it is not economic to do bookkeeping themselves and regularly subcontract this type of work out. Businesslink has advised me to follow this route. You will probably pick up other work along the way and create your own client base.

    good luck
