working on december 2008 task b calculating goodwill and I cant see where they have calculated the post aqui as 1,590 please help!! xx

Because at 1 nov 2007,the balance of retained earnings of Ballallan Ltd was £9750,000
in the balance sheet at 31 oct 2008,retained earning is 11,340,000
so the post acqui is 11340,000-9750,000=1590,0000
