Hi All,
I am about to start a set of accounts for a company that owns a property. The previous years accounts (completed by another firm) has the following:
Fixed Asset - Property
Current Asset- Rent Due (no idea where the last accountant got these figures from)
Current Asset-Remitance made(no idea where the last accountant got these figures from)
Current Asset-Loan receipts(no idea where the last accountant got these figures from)
Bank
Trade Creditor (no idea where the last accountant got these figures from)
Mortgage
Reserves
The only information I have on the company is bank statements and trying to get anything further from the client is proving painful. Just to note my company is a Corporate Service Provider and so my bosses are directors of the company.
I have never produced a set of accounts for an investment company, any pointers on where to start? I have already put together the cash book.
Thanks

Have you written to the last accountant asking for more information, or some working papers?0
