VAT change

Hi everyone,

got my BA1 exam this afternoon, and was wondering whether anyone knows if it will be VAT at 17.5% or 20%? or will the exam tell me at the beginning?

If I recall correctly, you will be told this at the beginning of the exam - in the scenario.

Thanks, i was hoping it would, i couldnt remember seeing it in any of the practice exams.

and thanks, this is the first exam i have taken for over four year and a half years...

I Passed!

Well i'm 'Competent' lol so phew! so glad, i finished the exam about an hour and twenty early, so spent twenty minutes going through my answers and trying to summon up the courage to press the finish button!!

I do think thats the hardest part somehow, pressing finish and not panicking!

oh and i does tell you the VAT rate on the 'Introduction' page, so check that.

And also, just read on the AAT website, that the VAT rate for exams will stay at 17.5% until August 2011, after which if they decide to change it, they will publicise it.

so there we go, no worries for at least another 6 months!

well done, i know what you mean about pressing finish, have done costing already and we had problems logging on which was a nightmare, then when i pressed finish it took aqes to bring up result.

Hopefully will be better next time.
