Hello Hoping someone can help!

I am helping my boyfriend with his tax return. He has paid some tax through the above scheme... i wanted to just clarify...

He puts his gross income in and then later shows the cis payment?

    Hi,

Yes that's what I did on my partners return.
Gross payment and then amount of tax already paid in cis payments.

    thank you!

did you include interest etc from bank accounts.... i am so confused on that bit... also... did you put at the beginning online that he was self employed or employed when paying CIS?

SORRY FOR THE questions I am starting to panic. x

He is not employed - otherwise he would be paying PAYE & NI. Has he registered as self employed?

You should include all income in the year - there is a section on interest from banks etc

All income must be included on it: employment, bank interest, dividend, property rental etc

Don't panic! Just work through it section by section. It's a lot easier when you are doing it online (which as it's January I presume you are!)
