am contacting you hoping for some help, advice and information, i took the Intermediate Level in 2005 ECR and failed Unit 5 - Maintaining Financial Records and Preparing Accounts. I am not working at an accountancy practice anymore and is currently working as a clerical officer at the hospital. I leave the hospital in May on maternity leave for 12 months and i am hoping to complete this level by home learning. I registered a while ago with Kaplan distance learning and have their Study Text/Workbook - 2007/08 and also Frank Woods Tenth edition, would this help me through the exam or are the work books out of date.

Please can you give me advice of what steps i could do to pass unit 5

this year everything has changed with AAT and they are now computer based assessment so uness your material was purchased since June the lay out and way in which it is taught may well be out of date but the main content should be the same. Bare in mind though that AAT has brought a lot of the terminology in line with international accounting standards too.
