12 months ago I did produced 2 years worth of urgently required accounts. After some difficulty I eventually got paid half my agreed and invoiced fee.
I still hold his original invoices and other paperwork for most of the following year. A couple of weeks he phoned several times and claimed he desperately needed it immediately. He promised to pay the outstanding balance. However, despite the apparent urgency he has failed to make further contact.
Would I be within my rights to write and tell him that I will not hold onto the material indefinitely, and advise it will be kept 31st March after which I will dispose of it all ?
I also feel like telling him it will incur a storage fee from 1st Feb of £10 per week.
