Apologies if this has been asked before, I've done a quick search and found nothing;
If a private householder contracts with a builder / plumber / sparky etc to carry out work on his/her home, that is outside the scope of CIS. That bit I understand. However, if that builder / plumber / sparky sub-contracts some or all of that work out to someone else, is that covered by CIS? I suspect not, but am not 100% sure.
Thanks

If the main contractor working at a private household subcontracts some of the work then yes it does fall into CIS and the appropriate action must be taken.0
