Budgeting quesstion?

Can someone help with is pls;

Calculate the machine hour

Total hour for dept 2870
There are 5 machines in the department
each machine can be used for 500 hour in Jan, additional machine can be hired if required

How many additional machine should be hired?
I can 't seem to get it right

Hi Terdoo

5 machines x 500 hours per machine = 2,500 available machine hours

2,870 hours needed less 2,500 available = 370 hours leftover

If each machine can be used for 500 hours, then you will only need to hire one additional machine to cover the 370 hours leftover.
