Hello all
Well ive just passed all technician bits and bobs and have now just received my first CIMA unit from Kaplan...E1

Im studying by distance learning. i think to start off with im just going to do one unit at a time and see how it goes really. Not sure when ill sit the exam though. My work have given a budget for each year that i can spend on stuff towards CIMA so this year its really taken up with registering and exemptions so next year if its going well i may tackle a few units at once. Im quite lucky really as im in no rush to get it as i have the job as management accountantant when my manager retires in 2 and a half years time (providing i am capable of doing the job).
whats really exciting is they have just given me our american company which has just started up and i am to carry out all the management accounts etc for it to give me practice for our bigger business.

Anyhow, i will be using the further studies thread so speak to you all later....

Rach

Thanks guys, im really not sure when ill sit the exams, im just about to start reading the book, so ill just see whether i struggle with it. If i find it easyish ill sit it in may, if i struggle prob nov but then i may order another unit over the summer and sit 2 then.
Quite honestly i dont really know what to expect....
