Is anyone else on here studying for this paper in June. I cannot get on a course so I am doing it on my own again. I spent all day on questions and still not getting anywhere near the answers. It's beginning to get me down already
I just hope they mark it more leaniently in June than they do in December !

Hi Glynis
Have you looked at the Get Through Guides Website? They do live online distance learning classes, F8 starts on Tuesday and costs £125 inc books. I've started F4, F5 and F7 this weekend with them and can't fault it so far.0 -
I will look at those. Thankyou for that. It's just a stupidly hard paper so will try anything.0

Have you considered taking a break from F8 and try another, maybe simpler (less complicated) paper, I did that with MAC (AAT) and did the Tax papers , passed them first time and then went on to do Mac which I passed the second time around.
It is evident that you are stressing already and this will have a negative impact on your concentration.0 -
Hi,
F8 is not the easiest of the skills papers to do and if you can it is best done with F7 as they use the same accounting standards.

The link is for free study for 1 paper with LSBF.
If you want something different to do I would look at F6 the tax paper, but then again I really found the tax papers interesting so they did seem easier than the rest.
Good luck0 -
Hi Glynis,
I thoroughly recommend the tax paper too (F6), there is a lot to learn, but it is a case of applying the rules given, and this is a bit sad, but I am quite enjoying doing it....
Have you been able to look at the Open Tution site yet ?
The person who does the video lectures (Yvonne), is excellent - its just like being at college
I too am doing Home Study, I passed F5 in June.

I am taking F5 in June!
I passed F6 & F7 in December and have to say that F7 was a real pain!
F6 (Tax) is actually fun if you get into it and understand what's going on. A lot to take in and a lot of rules to learn but with every subject it is best to break down the papers into parts. I actually got 68% in it!
Look at each item that has come up a study them (ie F7 the first part will always be consolidated income statements or Balance Sheets).
Every paper can be broken down its.0
