CIMA quits CCAB???

Just read this in PQ. Any thoughts?

They got sound reasoning, CCAB is mostly focussed on auditing, while CIMA doesn't qualify for auditing.
I'm not sure how much influence it will have on the recognition of the qualification, but as CIMA is quite big, I doubt it will matter much.
It's also very interesting to read that CIMA is now going to work together with the American AICPA or whatever it was!

I'll be curious to see what that will do internationally, as it gives me the feeling Europe is being ignored and instead the focus is on developing countries and the US.0
