Question: A client is a builder and needs to where arm braces/clasps when working. Are these an allowable expense?

I'd be tempted to class them as tools and equipment if they've wholly and exclusively for the purpose of business.

Although there may well be some other catagory for them, like when you need glasses for computer screens.

    expenses

    Hi
Are the braces for a medical condition or because of the nature of his work? Are they needed when he isn't working ?

No they are just for working, ie when lifting! But of course you couldn't prove that.

I am going to say "yes" and include them in tools/equipment, ie safety equipment.
