Losses on Ltd Co Closure

Some advice would be appreciated;
Sole director of a small Ltd Co closes it from 31 March 2011. Director is owed money in the form of directors loan which has become irrecoverable. Can this loss be carried back against CGT paid in 08/09 on disposal of a previous un-connected business.
