What type of jobs to apply for?

Hi Folks

I am going to be starting on level 3 very shortly and I am out of work at the moment. Can someone please advice what type of jobs I should apply for to get the relevant accountancy experience? I was thinking of applying for sales/purchase ledger clerk, accounts/finance assistant type roles. Would that give me good experience?

Can you think of any other job roles that I could apply for?

Out of the job roles that I have stated above, which one would give me most experience and what type of skills would an employer be looking for?

I would say that at this early stage anything related to accounts/finance, such as the roles you have suggested, will help. If you then feel that it is not the right position for you then at least the experience will help you when applying for other jobs in accounts/finance.
