Clarification to students

In an email to a student I inadvertently implied that I had undertaken a review of a publication written by Steve Collings and quite rightly the student concerned contacted Steve to clarify the position.
Steve has asked me to confirm that I have not been involved in the review of any work produced by him. I also wish to put on record that it was not my intention to associate myself with any of Steve's books or articles. The student concerned misunderstood my commentary but after considering the position I thought it best to clarify the situation in case the student concerned spread the word that I may have somehow been involved in Steve's works.

I only asked you to clarify the position to the student concerned - a public confirmation was not necessary as no harm was done.
