I started in Practice in January, and have my first Self Assessment client. I have asked their previous accountant for some Capital Allowance bf figures. Could someone just confirm if they should be charging for this ? Am I nieve in thinking that this will be provided for free ?
Thanks

They should not make a charge for this. Standard practice is to do it for free.
ICAEW etc expressly forbid it.
If the outgoing accountant is not a member of a professional body, he can charge what he likes.0 -
