Hi there,
Am awaiting results of skills tests which have now been with my distance learning provider for 6 or 7 weeks and have just rung and they haven't even begun to mark it, and am being told to expect to wait 5 weeks for answer. I explained that it has already been 6 or 7 weeks depending on which skills test and he said well it will be a week. But if they havent started and it takes 4 weeks on average then I think there is a bit of bull there.
Anyway despite me doing all skills tests before the 30th April deadline 2 of them didnt arrive until 9th May probably due to bank holidays and so on, not sure when they were posted by supervisor but am sure it was the same day I completed them.
Deadline was therefore missed so they are not guaranting they will mark them.
Anyway as to the others which they should have marked by now, what happens if 30th June is reached and the AAT have no record of me doing these skills tests. Am I moved automatically to the new standards and therefore will have all these skills tests outstanding, and so have to redo them all.
Would be interested in anyones view points

skills test
i wouldnt worry too much about it, i had the same problem with my provider they said they never had my paper for weeks (even though i had proof of postage) because basically they had so many last minute exams they couldnt come, which in my point of view is rediculous that they didnt see that this would happen derrrrr. it took 4 weeks for them to find my paper by which time it was with the assessor and was with the assessor for nearly 4 weeks so very stretched out, i finally got my answer after 2 months thakfully! so i think is just a case of playing the waiting game. still dont have my confirmation on letter from my provider saying ive passed despite being told this on the phone which is a bit worrying. but dont worry im sure youre paper will turn up0 -
Hi Zhulme
they do have all my papers they confirmed this and have had them for at least 6 weeks one of which has been marked the others have not started to be marked so its just a bit worrying really
they have to the end of Dec 2011 to mark them
so was wondering really what happens if you end up at the end of June with no skills tests marked and get moved across to the new standards will you then end having to take all the exams since they have no record of you actually having done them if you see what I mean0 -

You won't be moved across automatically, your centre will have to do it when you're ready to be transferred. It doesn't stop you sitting exams under the new standards it just means that your centre can continue to report results for you under the old standards. It's the same for people who are sitting paper based exams this June who won't know til August if they've passed them.0 -
