just chill honestly get a good nights sleep. If you are at level 4 and on the old standards and you go to the new standards the materail is really similar I know this as I did the old standards and my sis is doing the new and I am helping her and its all the same stuff so you wont have to relearn a bunch of stuff.
You have it all in your head just try to keep calm exams are awful and scarry and pressurized but you do know this stuff.
what exam is it that you are retaking?
just make sure that the areas you are a bit unsure of you look at and revise those the stuff you know like the back of your hand you know so no point going over that and you will know a lot already.
Good luck and try not to be too anxious0 -
Well that has certainly made me feel better thanks!! im re sitting pev and ptc, i keep kicking myself tho, as I only failed on what if analysis and standard setting (silly i know) but i just keep looking an papers and it just looks like a big mess!! Just have to read the questions completely 2 or 3 times, theres no going back now
Thanks again for your words!! made me feel loads better =D0 -
Hey sasperella
if you only failed on those areas then thats great you just need to focus on those areas and practice
I wrote my paper in pencil, completely missed on of the questions and was leisurely overwriting it all in pen when I realised Id missed a question with 10 mins to go, so scribbled down loads of notes and calcs but didnt have time to do it properly and then managed to get all the pencil overwritten my hand was killing me for days and was totally convinced I had failed, must have done alright on other areas.
Good luck you'll be brill0 -
Hi I am taking the PEV paper exam tomorrow and really terrified - I failed it last summer and just wasn't ready to re-do it in December so this is last chance saloon for me. I failed on the variances I think as I failed section 1.
I have practised and practised and had some tuition so hopefully I will be ok this time as I too don't want (and cannot afford) to resit the whole year again.
Good Luck one and all - hope it isn't too bad for us tomorrow0 -
Oh confused one
do you really have to resit the whole year again
Under CBE you can take the exam when colleges are running it etc no longer restricted to Dec and June
Anyway its academic anyway as you have done loads of extra work so you will pass it no problem
Good luck0 -
I thought they rolled over to the new qual, or I am wasting my time going for my exam, I think someone has there wires crossed tbh.0

Anniebabe
yes they do definitely
but also if you fail PEV under the old standards you can sit the equivilent under the new standards and as they are similar in Level 4 (new and old standards I mean) there is no need to redo the entire year of learning coz it the same material0 -
Yep Pirate is correct, just hope it doesn't come to that!
I too have PEV tomorrow, last minute swotting going on at the moment, kids testing me on my formulas etc.
Intend getting up early to do a bit more before the kids get up and chaos begins!
All the best
