    Ok, I make it 3.

Well I thought it went a lot better than some of the ones I have practiced (and sat!!), however I did go blank on the seasonal variations, despite studying them yesterday, and I am not sure my margin figures for the last question were right.

    How about you?

I was pleased with my Variations and the Rec as it balanced! The Ratios I thought were OK, and the margin question seemed to easy. What really stumped me was converting the season variation figures to an index numbers. My mind went completely blank.....

My rec was out (still not sure why), I left myself time at the end to check it through, then noticed that I had not written one of my answers in the answer booklet, I had done it under the question, so by the time I had written it all out I had no time left to check the reconciliation.

Yeah, I went blank on the indexing but I put an answer, doubt if it is right though, but don't want to look at any past papers or my notes just yet as I know it will start me worrying!

Hey ho, can't do anything about it now, although I did think I would find out about doing the CBA and do that soon whilst the knowledge is still fresh!

You deduct a positive variation and add a negative one to give the trend so your OK!

I note that you wrote on the question paper Columbia, does it matter what we do to the question paper, just wondering what happens to the question papers after the exam. Does anyone read them?

I'm not sure what happens to them, I hope they look at them as all my workings were written next to each question!!

Sorry Columbia, I didn't mean to imply the AAT would lose your work!? !-: I did MAC and the question booklet was separate from the answer booklet, I did some scribbly stuff in the question booklet which doesn't have any AAT student number or such on it so I just wondered if they stay linked to the answer booklet.

The answer book will be marked
The question book will be separated from the answer book and not marked

Centres tend to keep the question papers but send off the answer books to a named marker

P.S. If any centre now has a copy of the question and wouldn't mind putting it in the post, I'd like to see (and attempt) it. (ECR MAC PEV and PCR only please)

Bit of a late night Sandy???

OMG I thought they kept the two together, I had loads of workings out in the question booklet, I wanted the answer sheet to look neat and tidy!

I really thought they kept them together, great I was the only one who sat it at my centre, so guess who's booklet my college will keep!

    I had workings scribbled everywhere!

Now I am even more concerned about my result, as they won't see my reasoning behind the answers...

Sandy thanks for clarifying that, and at 3.30 am! My notes on the question book were unimportant. I did wondered why the different format from the other AAT exams I've done (Diploma route) though.

The e mail address of our course Administrator at Amersham and Wycombe College, is below he should be able to help with a copy of the MAC paper.

    ECHIPANGURA@AMERSHAM.AC.UK

I did send my thanks to you for your help with revision questions by e mail - hope you got that.

I had two events on this morning
one was an internal exam board so had to get up at 2.30 am to mark internally set exams
the other was an inter-college meeting in Bath which required me to have finished the marking and be on a train at 7.14am to get to a colleague for a lift!!

Teaching is such a straight forward and simple life!!

    Sorry
