Ok. So Number 2 son left home a couple of months ago.

After 26 years we are now alone. Except for the moggy.

So any ideas what hobbies we could take up. :)
Things to do together.

What about pub walks? I used to do them with my friends. If you go to the bookshop/library you can normally find some books about your local area, you should find books with walks of different lengths which begin and end in pub car parks.

It's quite nice that you can have a lemonade (& facility stop) before you set off and then a pub meal when you get back.

How about ... trying to conquer the 100 things you must do before you die list ?

    What about ...

    Learn a language
    art class
    Photography
    Gym
Take short courses at college (you might discover something you never thought that you would like ;)
    Join a local team
    Personal development seminars

If you have any fears of starting something new, try the naked wii recommendation first ... then im sure evrything else will seem like a walk in the park !!!! lol

Good list. Walking is another, or walking and photography... Or Offroading if you don't want to walk!

There's cooking and dinner parties if you really want to be that sociable.

We really enjoy geocaching. It can be done walking, running or cycling. You need a handheld GPS device or a good old map and compass. You input set co-ordinates of a hidden cache (treasure) and find your way to the location and the hidden cache.

It can add a purpose to getting exercise and is good fun too.

You can find out more at www.geocaching.com
    Regards,

Hi Burg, I've done that a few times with the iPhone app. You've reminded me I should do it again.
