Again, from last week's Professional.
MIPs, this is really important! The government may listen to all our views on MLR issues (such as how crazy it is there is no de minimis reporting level, for example).
The survey is really quick, please do take a few minutes to give your feedback.
Consultation on the review of the Money Laundering Regulations 2007
The much anticipated HM Treasury consultation is now in progress. This is an important exercise that will determine how the UK implements the EU Money Laundering Directives in future. It has been suggested the feedback from this exercise may result in a review of the existing Regulations as early as 2012.
As a statutory money laundering supervisor for members in practice, we will be responding to this consultation to reflect the views of our members. In addition to encouraging members to respond to the consultation we would like to hear from you with your views of your experience of compliance with the 2007 Regulations.
Please share your views with us by completing our AML survey 2011. The survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and your response will assist us in pushing for positive change on an issue that affects you. The AML survey 2011 will close on Friday 12 August 2011.
This is your opportunity to contribute to a global discussion on an issue that affects you as a professional accountant. If you have any queries about this survey, please email the AAT.
