Hon Auditor for Voluntary Group

I joined the local branch of a national group for hobby reasons. Last year I agreed to be the local group’s Hon Auditor. All the committee are volunteers. The previous hon auditor worked in an office of the Hon Treasurer's employer, but I don't think she had any accountancy qualifications.

It’s soon time to do the audit, which I shall carry out in the same way as when I check the books, bank statements and documents for my clients before producing their accounts. I’m now a part-time MIP. This is my first such voluntary job.

Any pointers I should be aware of or consider in relation to my AAT status? Presumably there is no need to issue a letter of contract.

Also, could I add this voluntary work to my CPD?

Many thanks.
