I wonder if you can help....
I have a client who is requesting that I send him a copy of his final accounts in PDF format. Apart from scanning it into computer I cannot seem to find a way of saving the actual accounts in PDF format from file.....am I missing something? is there a way of doing this??

Install cutePDF (it's free)
In the VT menu click print preview. Click print. Choose CUTE as your printer.
The save as dialog box appears.
Save your shiny new PDF accounts file.

Hi There,
I imagine there is a way to do it but because I am lazy I simply click the "Preview Accounts" icon, select the accounts I want, print them and then I select cutePDF printer.
Ah, what's that you ask?
It's a lovely little programme in which you can save anything in PDF format using this software as a computerised printer.
You can install it here for free:
http://www.cutepdf.com/
Even if you find a way to get the accounts in PDF it's still a useful thing to have.0 -
You're such a bloody know it all "get there first" aren't you Jenni????0

Its a great feature, recently had to show a colleague how to use it, instead of printing things off and scanning them...
One bit closer to the paperless office.0 -

Sadly yes.... and preparing final accounts at the time too! The perils of a part-time practice alongside a full time jobHey, she's ACE! You're just jealous
haha - Maybe she is and maybe I am... all I know is that my explanation was clearly miles better :P0 -
What can I say, I couldn't sleep?
Love you guys
PS There is a way to save direct to PDF in VT T+ without using a pdf printer like Cute, so I bet there is a button in Accounts as well. I've just not found it yet.0 -
I really like Cute PDF, but PDF 995 is alternative free PDF writer, that will act as a printer and produce a PDF file for you. It comes up with an annoying ad every time you use it though, so I'm happier with Cute PDF.
Or, if you group all of the sheets in the VT accounts, you should be able to save as a PDF direct from excel, I think that might depend on your version of excel.0
