Dear MIP,
I have new client who asked me to process his tax refund and I have not done this task before and I wounder if you will be a kind enough to let me know what paper work that I need to put in place.

If he is in self assessment you do the tax return, put his bank details on the return and the refund will happen automatically.
HMRC are sending out cheques for repayments at the moment where they have assessed peoples' employment income etc.
What sort of repayment are you doing? What you need to do will differ depending on his circumstances.0 -

This client is a full time employed and he would like to make a claim for the last five years. the client also provided all P60 and other supporting documents, and I my initial assessment indicates that he has overpaid and eligible for tax refund. I have also got his authorization to act on his behalf. What other form do I need to send to the HMRC

The quickest thing is to call the Agent Dedicated Line here

and ask them. They might be able to action it over the phone.0
