Facebook & LinkedIn advice please

I am going to set up a Facebook and LinkedIn page for my local AAT branch and would appreciate any top tips please, pitfalls etc

One other branch set up a FB group and another seems to have set up a FB page like a person would.

Does anyone know of an app that can update facebook LinkedIn and twitter at the same time? That way I could post branch events and info on all with just one posting?

I'm not a techie person, but about a month ago my friend (who is techie type) shared this article with me gleefully. It makes little, to no sense to me because I don't really do technology.
