I agree with Dean, it is well worth the effort and cost.

Thank you for recommending it, i am at that juncture of where to go whether ACCA, but they have so much red tape re being self employed that i cannot see how i can finally qualify and be self employed. I did think about ATT and think i will look into it further now

ATT is brilliant. I can't begin to explain how much better my knowledge and ability (not to mention confidence) has become since passing the Personal Tax paper.

It's hard. It's a very big jump from AAT tax. But it is SO worth doing.

I'm thinking of this one myself!
Despite AAT and CIMA, I feel my tax knowledge falls way short of where it needs to be.

My only question, which I emailed to ATT, was where the exam centres are, as I cannot find these on their site. I would be looking to sit in Cambridge if possible.

ademoore - I've done a business degree (worthless) and AAT. I'm now doing ACCA which is hit and miss as it has loads of management accounting modules which are, with all due respect, a bit worthless for my career direction.

I imagine CIMA was nothing but management accounting? Do you touch on financial accounting and tax?

    Belfast
    Birmingham
    Edinburgh
    Exeter
    Leeds
    London
    Manchester
    Newport
    Reading
    Southampton

I have a friend who, although based in Southampton, sat his exams in Exeter because apparently they are held in a hotel function suite with three people to a large round table all with comfy chairs.

He thought it was a much nicer environment to sit them in!

Not sure whether that is still the case or not..
