Engagement Letters Query

Hi there,
I have a couple of questions regarding engagement letters which I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with.
I have a client who I have done bookkeeping for, for almost 2 years and I have just realised that I don't have an engagement letter in place for that client.
Firstly, when putting together the engagement letter, would I record the date that I began acting for that client as the date that I was engaged from and also, what date would I date the letter?
Secondly, I have checked the AAT MIP Zone for an engagement letter template for bookkeeping but I can;t find one anywhere. Does anyone know of where I can find one?
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

I would use the current date. Letters of engagement will get updated from time to time as the nature of your client relationship may change. No point trying to backdate anything.0

There isn't a template specifically for bookkeeping, but you can amend the general template to suit your arrangement with your client.0
