I have only just realises that I haven't registered to sit F8 in December. I have been so busy studying for this blasted paper that I forgot. Can I still register or is it too late? Why do they make the deadline so early :(

Easily looked up on ACCA website

Entering now can be done and must be done online. However it is classed as a late entry so will cost £198 now. You have until 8 November when no more entries are taken.

Next sitting if you register for your exam by 8 March it will only be £69.

ACCA send out emails reminding students - did you not receive anything?

ACCA e-mailed me every few days about exam registration.

There are plenty of reminders about.

I'm having a horrid time studying towards F5 but even I remembered to register for the exam.

Glynis maybe this is a sign that you need to step away and take a breather. You have opportunity now to take a rest - even if its just for a month or so - and come back and look at the work with fresh eyes.

Sometimes when you have been staring at the same old thing for so long it becomes hard to see the wood for the trees.

I felt like I was trying to bang my head against a brick wall when I first met consolidated accounts - but I had to take a 3 month break when my daughter was born, and when I cam back to my studies it was as if all the things that had been worrying me had suddenly fallen in to place and I just "got it". I don't think I did anything as such, I just approached the subject with a fresh pair of eyes and it made all the difference.

You will be under much less pressure if you wait until March. Its good to have a goal, but being flexible about how you acheive that goal is likely to make the path a smoother one, and with so many things learning is about the journey and not the destination.
