Can someone help please. I have just completed my chemo and I have chemo brain.

A person owns a cafe/takeaway and also does corporate/private function catering. They sold the cafe/takeaway part of the business and now doing the corporate/private function catering from home.

The cafe/takeaway was sold for 34883.70, 15k being goodwill and the 19883.70 being stock, surrender of lease (they did not own the building the cafe/takeaway was based in) and equipment and furniture such as fridges, tables, chairs cookers etc.

Am I right in saying that the 15k will go to CGT and the rest stay in the p/l. The cost of selling the business ie. solicior and a business sales specialists company would this stay in the p/l or CGT.
