Hi everyone,

I have not quite yet finished studying but intend to start out on my own as soon as I can. I was wondering if anyone on here can reccomend some good books on starting a business and anything relevant to running an accountancy practice. I think I have found a couple that look ok but there are so many I'm a bit lost on what to buy!.

Many thanks for your help!

Melody

My goodness it's like you've been raiding the bookshelf in my study at home! I'm very proud to say my firm (the one I'm employed in) are in the Steve Pipe book; we're the AVN Award winners from 2010.

I'd absolutely concur with Dean's recommendations, and I'd add:

    - E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber
    - The Trusted Advisor by David Maister
