If you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk! ;-)
Seems like this non-punctuation is catching!

BTW, Ads second last post could only be interpreted as a question.

Before this gets even sillier - People posting on web forums, in general, are quite particular about how they post. The standard is much better than the C U L8R type texts on mobile phones. But they are usually hurried, and so spelling mistakes can pop up. This is not really worth commenting on, unless it were a literary website, which the AAT's forum is not.

But if you do comment on such, be very sure of your own ability first. People in glasses housesΓΒ’?ΓΒ¦ comes to mind!0 -

This is just a general observation but another error that crops up is using 'your' when actually the person means 'you are' or 'you're'. It occurs everywhere.

Another observation is the incorrect use of apostrophes especially when writing plurals (or plural's as some people would write.)

It winds me up and I get this urge to correct people all the time.

Others include greatful for grateful, seperate for separate, incorrect use of affect and effect (the affect is the action of something that causes the effect) and stationary when it is used instead of stationery (e is for envelope)
0 -

Ads meet Johndoe ΓΒ’?? Friends for life!

Seriously, language has always been developing and what is annoying today may become standard in time, such as that former colloquialism, ΓΒ’??Doh!ΓΒ’?? famously being accepted. IΓΒ’??m guessing, but the texting generation will probably make considerable changes to our language (not necessarily for the better).

0 -
