Do you mean the Online Classroom? If so, I've been using it for my ACCA since 2010 and would recommend it to anyone who is unable to attend a classroom course.

It is basically the classroom course, delivered electronically - you receive the classnotes which are used in the lectures, the text book and the practice & revision kit. Nearer the exams, you also receive the revision notes that would be used if you attended a revision course - this includes online demonstrations/debriefs on actual past paper questions.

Interaction with the tutors is done by a forum where your "class mates" can also see the comments/questions you are posting. The tutors don't respond via email to individual queries.

If you have got any other questions, let me know.

    Hi Richard

    Thanks for this.

Did BPP allow you to have a "demo" login to see the services provided?

BPPs website isn't the best and it seems there telephone operators don't know how to answer my questions! Or at least they can't seem to pass me onto someone that can - they always seem to be "calling me back" but never seem too!

    Hi Dean,

This link gives a brief demo -

    http://www.bpp.com/locations/-/loc/online-classroom

I was happy to use it for ACCA F6 onwards as I work fulltime and am unable to attend a taught course.

The only alternative for me was to study from the text books, which I did for F4 & F5 and found it very hard, but achievable. I studied AAT just using text books, but there is a big difference between AAT and ACCA!

There is no way that studying from text books at the higher level papers (P2 onwards) would work for me as the syllabus' are huge.

If anybody else sends me that link! haha

I think that is pretty poor really. You would think they could give you a 'workable' demo.

I have a chap "calling me back" for about the fourth time! All I am really wanting is a PDF of the manuals so I can access them on an iPhone/iPad.

    Hi Dean,

When you purchase a Online Learning course you can get copies of the text books to download to iBooks (have been able to do it myself for WEAF and CPMA) they are basically just PDFs, but very handy.

You can't access the videos on the iPad, due to Apples aversion to flash, but at least you can read on the go!

Yeah I have heard that its possible to view most manuals. The problem is, is that I'm doing the ACA with the ICAEW and they produce their own manual and it seems that no one at BPP can assure me that this would be available to me in electronic form.

With regard to apple and the apps - try purchasing "BUZZ HD" that should make your video tutorials work :)

    Hi Dean,

I ordered some books from BPP in January and had an awful time getting a refund when they were
    hopelessly late delivering them.

I complained and got an e-mail back saying they were investigating my complaint.

Guess what happened? Yes, that's right they never got back to me lol.

I ended up having to scream at some poor soul down the phone to get it resolved so have sympathy
    with you.

Glad it's not just me! I give up with it now - they have obviously got too much business as it is!

I just think they don't value the importance of good customer service.

They never seem to practice what the preach.

It's not good enough given the prices they charge.

I don't think BPP are accepting online bookings at the moment. I phoned them to book my latest course.

No you can't purchase online you have to phone in!

I'm amazed that a company like BPP still have SUCH a long way to go.

Nightmare here too... in the end I got charged for one set, received three copies of each resource.

Best to e-mail putitright@bpp.com, I received quick responses from them. Course tutors are superb once you get everything.
