Hi all, can I ask something? Just web-filing abbreviated accounts on the CH site for the first time: have completed a full set of accounts, on the Balance Sheet do I incorporate the dividends figure into the P&L- ie reducing it? There is no "box" for dividends! thanks.

Yes, it's the net retained profits, i.e. last year b/f, plus this years profit, less dividends0

I'm currently doing level 4 and at work only the managers and partners submit accounts to CH and HMRC using IRIS.
Just out of interest how does CH submission work if you're not using IRIS, i.e. using something like VT.
Thanks0 -
VT is accounts software only.
You combine it with tax software such as Ftax, BTC or TaxCalc.
I've tried integrated software, but I much prefer 'best of breed.' the time saving comes when the bookkeeping is linked with the accounts production, not the accounts with the tax.0
