hmrc answer the phone

Does hmrc every answer the phone, really starting to get on my nerves..............any ideas, send smoke signals, carry pigeons............

When I feel the need to phone them for incorrect advice / lies, I phone just after 8am when it's quiet.

Cheers pgm, i was thinking that, i asked a tax inspector yesterday why don,t they answer, he said all made redundant and no money .....

Are you ringing the agent line? that's normally answered pretty quick. 0845 366 7855 if you've not got it to hand.

That's pretty much it.

And yes, the agent line is usually answered immediately.
