Basic tax date/Actualt tx date

I did a question which i got wrong but no where can i find the info the back up the answer.
Does the fact that a customer is vat or not vat registered effect the tax date of the supplier?

Also in my bpp text book it say if there are more than one error that needs to be corrected then you should use the net effect of the all the errors instead of correcting each individual errors. i.e if error effecting box 4 and error box 1, but net effect add to box 1.
however when i did a practice assesment there were two errors, box one and box 4, and it corrected them seperately.
Just wondering what other peoples thoughts are.
