Hi,
Just after some advice. How would you deal with the following:
My friend is a self employed builder, no self employed income from 5th April to 24th June last year, then employed to the end of September 11. He bought a car on the 1st June and wants to claim capital allowances on it. I think the capital allowances should be restricted to six months as he wasn't working for himself again in the year until October.
What should the WDA amount be if the total cost of the vehicle is £4,200 and he has 25% personal use.
All advice gratefully received.
