Project Deadline

Can anyone tell me if the project has to be signed off before the deadline or if that is just when the final submission is required by?

I submitted my project on 28th June for what I hope is my final submission, but my tutor has not checked it off and I have been unable to contact them.

I think it would be fine as long as it is submitted by that date, but not definitely sure.

It seems rediculous that the time has dropped to 6 months, so far my project has been in my court (ie me writing plan, writing 2 drafts) about 2 weeks total and with my training provider at least 8! I genuinely think I'd be out of time if it takes 5 drafts even though I've barely spent anytime doing it!
