accrual accounting

I hope someone can help me, I am not at this level yet. I have a question on behalf of a friend. My friend is starting a business (services) - most of his customers will pay their fees straight away by cash, card or cheque but some use a credit company for higher amounts which in this case he will receive the money a couple ofweeks later. Would you reccomend him using cash or accrual accounting? He is also planning on getting Sage.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
