Study Support...

Hi everyone,

I am new to the member discussion forum as I have recently passed AAT. I just wondered if anyone had received study support outside work? Bearing in mind I am 28 (nearly), work full time and have no kiddies.

    What kind of study support outside of work do you mean?
    What study are you after? CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA/ ATT?

    My work pays for distance learning and first exam sitting per unit. (But my colleague gets online classes with support) and I get 1 day before the exam studyleave, plus the time of the exam, but that's all paid for by my employer.

    Outside work I just get the occasional kick in the bum if I'm slacking :)

    I am about to start my first ACCA F7 class tomorrow night (part time as I work full time, live online class with Kaplan). Wasn't sure if anyone has received any sort of government funding, or support through Student Loans Company (SLC)?

    My work do offer study support but if I leve within a year I have to pay it back and I'm planning on leaving May 2013.
