I need to do a P45 for an e'ee of a client; does this need to be done and submitted to the revenue before 19/09/2011 in order to avoid a fine?
Also, I use MoneySoft, and when I run the P45 I don't get any value in the "pay in this employment" and "tax in this employment" boxes.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Member
As far as I'm aware there is no filing deadline for a P45 and the HMRC website (http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/employers/p45-employee-leaves.htm#4) just seems to say that they must be sent ASAP.
When running the P45 there might not be any figures in the "pay in this employment" boxes if the employee is on a week 1/month 1 tax code but there should still be figures in the "year to date" boxes on Part 1a.0
