Mortgage payments on empty rental property

I have a client with 3 let properties. During 11/12 one was empty for a few months while he carried out repairs and maintenance. Can I claim for his interest only mortgage payments during this period?

I would say yes. The property was probably available for let, just unlikely to let whilst repairing
