I recently sat ITX and only met question 2.3 of the exam.

I was quite surprised by this as all the answers are in the question i.e

On top the of the return it states the period end for the return. It gives the dates of the email you are sending. You pay whats owed from box 5 usally 7 days into the next month.

Is there something I am completley missing? Any advise on this would be much appreciated.

Hi, I only met this question too. Was a bit surprised as it is one of the easiest questions!

I also had "met" in this question. I think it's just to easy to get "exceeded" in this, there is just nothing to get the bonus for, just a few drop-downs..

Probably, but it does make you feel like you got something wrong...and it must be annoying if you get exceeded in everything else but that one! Lol

Some of the easier questions only merit a "met" mark. This is the same throughout the exams, so you will never get an exceeded in some parts.

    I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm glad spamkebab said that, I remember being disappointed in some of my first exams because I'd only 'met' some parts, and I was confident that I had got the questions 100% correct.

Don't know if it was on here or elsewhere but I'm sure I read that sometimes you can't 'exceed' on a question, the best you can do is meet it.:001_smile:

Well it would be reasonable to assume some of the "fill the box" type, easier questions, wouldn't get you an exceeded.

After all, met is a pass.

Thank you for that, you've just made me feel a whole lot better about my exam! Lol I remember feeling quite disappointed when I just see 'Met' I assumed that meant I had only just about got enough marks not all.

    So thank you!

The way I think about it is that on a question where the answer is either right or wrong then you can only meet or not meet, eg 2+2 is either 4 or it isn't, so you can't exceed on that one. Where a question is more detailed and they only expect you to get 70% of it right to get a met and you get 100% right then you've exceeded what was required for a pass, this could be something like a bank rec or a consolidation or a written answer.

But then again in AP2 and Cash management I had exceeded in every question and there were some questions of that kind as well... so not sure how it's calculated
