Help! What to do after AAT

Need some help on this, I have just finished AAT Level 4 which I have been doing part time. Would like to do CIMA but as I have not ever had a job in finance I feel it would not be worthwhile as it seems I would be unable to get a job from it. What could I do with this AAT qualification with a lack of experience it feels whatever I do employers would not consider me for finance roles, I am sure many people have been In this situation and was wondering what they have done. I have completed my own accounts and tax returns before when I was self employed and know I could do it for other people but would it be too hard to set up as a self employed bookkeeper offering accounts services?
