Can anyone who is familiar with tax system please help me?
I have received a hefty tax bill +3100 for 2006/7, surely 5 years after the tax year? This relates to various jobs I was involved in? My question is all these years Hmrc has been sending final assessment letters and confirmation of tax cocodes. I phoned them and they told me their computer system was not working well? All my income was employment related.
What are my rights for contesting 2006 being re-assessed?
How long should records kept for jn this scenario?
