It is Friday! My client has gone VAT registered from 1st November. Can he claim the VAT back on a van purchased approximately 2 years ago? All of it, some of it? I just can't remember. Thanks.

Input tax suffered on goods prior to registration can be claimed under the following conditions:
(a) they must have been acquired for the purpose of the business
(b) must not have been supplied onwards or consumed before registration
(c) Incurred in 4 years before registration
You will need the VAT invoice and if there is any non business use you need to apportion the VAT.0 -
Thank you. That is great!0
