Hi Guys



Just wondering, I am currently studying for financial statements, do you have to learn the name and number of the ias, or is this given in the exam and you provide details

Hi Craig,

As far as I remember the name of the IAS and the number is povided in the exam, which you would then provide
the details. Quick note on IAS 2 - in the exam you may be asked to work out FIFO and AVCO, so it's worth brushing
up on

3 Weeks tomo, and only opened book yesterday, so in a slight panic but should be ok

Good luck! im doing a resit in about 3 weeks too. Has anyone got any tips on how to remember the IAS's?? Struggling a little

Hi Angie,

I intend to do flashcards; number, name and main points and just do them whenever i can be bothered.

Got my exam 8th December so i'm gonna have to get in gear!

Fingers crossed I get that question as it's an IAS I don't have a problem with :001_smile:

Hi Jan,

Yeah this may come up, I actually forgot how to work out FIFO and AVCO :blushing: but it was a multiple
choice question :001_tongue: So theirs always a few options which are way off the actual answer and the others
you just have to do 50/50
