Sage Payroll and Real Time Information
Our Birmingham branch meetings on the 13th February 2013 at the Birmingham Medical Institute (6:45pm start and will finish at 8:30pm) will be our first meeting at our new branch venue for 2013 and will be a talk by Lesley Wells Director of 1st For Training Ltd who will be covering the preparations required to become RTI compliant and how the latest version of Sage Payroll can help operate this new system following the introduction of RTI by HMRC.
This is a FREE meeting open to students affiliate's and members.
Lesley will also be looking at the on-line resources available through Sage Payroll Support Account which holds a wealth of HR documentation easily overlooked together with going to over some of the new features of Sage 50 2013 Accounts, such as how to email documents and the more detailed advance search facilities that can be used to interrogate data.
The last part of the talk will discuss some of the new developments Sage are currently looking at such as: how they can combine Cash Accounting For VAT with Foreign Currencies and an opportunity for our members to provide Sage with further feedback on developments.

Lesley: started her accountancy career in practice working for BDO Binder Hamlyn in the 1980’s, before moving into industry. She has worked for Trinity Mirror PLC, ABB Lumus Global and The Guild of Mastercraftsmen. In 2004 she formed 1st For Training Ltd an independent training company who specialise in providing Sage 50 Accounts, Payroll Training and Consultancy, based in Rugeley, Staffordshire., with the aim of supporting SME’s in the West Midlands area, helping owner/managers get the most from their financial systems and supporting them in their drive for business growth and profits. The philosophy of 1st For Training Limited is simple “development is the key to success” and have helped over 120 successful businesses and charities during the last nine years. For this Sage 50 Accounts & Payroll have been the “tools of trade” during this time.
Sage (UK) Limited are continually developing their computer systems and are now supporting businesses to become RTI (Real Time Information) compliant with their payroll processing
