Hi Guys,

Just got an email from ATT about this, has anyone been to one before? And was it useful?

It is £90 and the closest one to me is an hour or so away so, I would love to go, but if others haven't found it useful then I'm hesitant paying all that money and travel for it.

Any thoughts? Anyone planning on going? (I'd be going to the Bristol one in March.)

I went to the one in London last year.

Half the day was spent on the personal tax exam and the other half of the day was spent on the business tax exam. Consequently only half the day was relevant to me (the personal tax exam half). And as you can imagine with breaks and lunch time not much is covered in half a day.

The only thing I learnt was that I didn't know that much and I had a serious amount of revision to do. I revised hard for 2 months by myself (I used Tolley's distance learning materials) and managed to get 69%.

My tutor has advised me to go. As I am not attending a structured course for ATT, I'm only using the BPP book, it should be helpful in regard to question structure etc.

2 months study doesn't sound alot? How hard were you studying? :) I'm getting in about 3 hours 4 nights a week and then a whole day at the weekend. But I don't think even that's enough- it's taking longer to go in than with AAT. Any advice on P tax?

I agree that only half would be relevent to me also. But I guess it's all helpful to know, even if only half of it is to do with the actual exam I'll be taking! :)

Is anyone going from Exeter to the Bristol one on 16th March? I am going and need to get the train, but I have never been to Bristol by train before and wandered if anyone knew if it is easy to get from the station at the other end to the hotel? Walking distance? I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to leaving my home county! (Don't get out much) :)
